Declaration on accessibility

The City of Frankfurt am Main strives to make the website www.ffm.de as well as the mobile application, the FFM.de app accessible.

The legal basis is the Hessian Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology of September 16, 2019 (Hessische Verordnung über barrierefreie Informationstechnik) and the Accessible-Information-Technology-Ordinance (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung, BITV).

Status of compatibility with the requirements of the BITV

The website as well as the mobile application are only partially compatible with the requirements of the new BITV 2.0.

Which areas are not accessible?

  • On the website as well as within the mobile application, users can post content such as images and text. This content may not be fully accessible.
  • The videos embedded on the website do not have a translation into sign language.
  • An explanation of the functionalities of the mobile application in easy language is in preparation.

Conciliation procedure

The State Commissioner for Accessible IT of the State of Hesse has a conciliation board in accordance with § 16 BGG. The conciliation board has the task of resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and federal public agencies.
